The brief

Win a category the national brands think they own.

Online weight loss is the most competitive market in UK healthcare. Patients compare several providers before they buy, and more of that comparing now happens on ChatGPT. Slinic needed a site that does the comparing for them, then keeps the patient after the first order.

What we built

Six things on slinic.co.uk most healthcare sites don’t have.

Slinic: Three doors in, not one.

01The first screen

Three doors in, not one.

New patients, reorders and people switching from another provider each get their own route from the hero. Nobody has to read a page written for someone else.

Why it sellsSwitchers are the warmest buyers in weight loss. They get a door with their name on it.

Slinic: Slinic against Boots, Asda, MedExpress and Voy, line by line.

02The comparison

Slinic against Boots, Asda, MedExpress and Voy, line by line.

Sixteen things a patient actually weighs, from monthly clinical reviews to fixed pricing and a named clinical team, answered in one table.

Why it sellsThe comparison a patient would otherwise go elsewhere for happens on Slinic’s own page.

Slinic: The patient sees their own number.

03The calculator

The patient sees their own number.

Enter a starting weight in kilos or stones and the projection updates as you drag, with the clinical caveat printed beside it rather than hidden in a footnote.

Why it sellsA personal number converts better than a promise.

Slinic: Health tools that bring patients back.

04The tools

Health tools that bring patients back.

A Performance Tracker with nine health calculators, a meal and exercise plan library, and links out to the Slinic Kitchen and Gym apps. Reasons to come back between orders.

Why it sellsIn weight loss the value is in the months after the first order. Every tool is a reason to come back.

Slinic: A 21-question assessment the browser can’t fake.

05The clinical check

A 21-question assessment the browser can’t fake.

New patients take the full clinical assessment, with BMI worked out as they go. Existing patients take a shorter reorder check-in. The pass or fail decision is made on the server, not in the page.

Why it sellsSafe prescribing is the whole business. A check that can’t be gamed protects the licence and the revenue.

Slinic: A treatment library organised the way patients search.

06The library

A treatment library organised the way patients search.

Getting started, treatment guides, side effects, nutrition, cost and eligibility, comparisons. Each one a set of questions people ask AI before they buy.

Why it sellsBuilt to be the source ChatGPT and Google quote, not one of ten blue links.

Under the hood

The website is what patients see. Behind it is a whole online clinic.

  • A PIN-protected prescriber portal with an approval queue: answers, flags, ID and consultation status
  • Approve or decline in one click; a decline refunds the patient automatically
  • Change the dose in review: a lower dose refunds the difference, a higher one emails a payment link

Winning back sales, keeping patients

Abandoned orders and lapsed patients come back on their own, and the site shows which.

  • Payment reminders one hour and 24 hours after an unpaid order
  • Every order paid after a reminder marked “Recovered”
  • The last step each patient reached, plus a monthly funnel report with a CSV export
  • Reorder reminders timed to each patient’s supply, never doubled, never sent to someone who has reordered
Show 3 more
  • Trustpilot review requests 14 days after dispatch, once per patient
  • A branded newsletter tool with one-click unsubscribe and batched sending
  • A log of every patient email, viewable as sent, with failed sends flagged and re-sent in one click

Built for health data

The compliance questions a regulator asks are already answered in code.

  • Photo IDs encrypted with AES-256-GCM, with no public file or address, and every view logged
  • IDs deleted 90 days after an order closes; unfinished orders deleted after 7 days
  • An order can never exist without its clinical assessment: both are saved in one step
  • GDPR tools for data requests and erasure
Show 3 more
  • Cookie consent built for UK health sites: equal Accept and Reject, nothing tracked first, nothing on health or order pages
  • Test copies of the site can never email real patients
  • Login limits, two-factor sign-in for staff and protection against common attacks

Measurement without the health data

Ads are measured on revenue without telling Google or Meta what anyone bought.

  • Google Ads purchase tracking that sends only the order number, value and currency
  • Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and order-source tracking, all after consent
  • Server-side Meta conversion tracking, built and ready to switch on
  • 301 redirects from every old address and the same guide URLs, so rankings carried over

On the site

The trust a patient checks before they buy, in plain sight.

  • GPhC registered pharmacy
  • LegitScript certified
  • SCOPE accredited
  • Ask Slinic AI, answering day and night
